SAVE THE DATE

We are very excited to partner with Chicago Cultural Alliance and act as one of the host museums for "Moving Dialogs: Culture in Motion" to be held Spring 2018. The May 9 event will consist of a showing of cultural objects, presentation of dance, and discussion on the intersection and process with curator and choreographer. Selected choreographers will develop new movement (or pull from existing repertoire and re-work) in partnership with and in response to objects and themes present in collections at the host museum. Stay tuned for details.

The Chinese American Museum of Chicago – Raymond B. & Jean T. Lee Center is excited to host a new temporary exhibition, 1946 Chinese War Brides Act – H.R. 4844, which helped create a newly structured family system and stabilized the Chinese American communities. Come see the documents and pen used by President Harry S. Truman to sign H.R. 4844 into law. The exhibit is a collaboration with the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (美州同源會) - Chicago Chapter. We thank the Chinese American Citizens Alliance – National Lodge for its generous loan.
