Scott D. Seligman shares the story of the remarkable Wong Chin Foo, who established the Chinese Equal Rights League in Chicago in 1897. This evocative biography is the first book-length account of one of America’s most important Chinese citizens—and one of its earliest campaigners for racial equality.
